Tour experience
Otago region offers excellent high-country rivers with the most diverse flora and fauna compared to any other region in NZ. The landscapes range from lush pastures and rolling meadows to inland fiords and alpine ranges. The Clutha River which has the highest flow rate of any NZ, river flows through this region. Here the water is heavy with deep blue pools under beech forest as well as fast runs in the gorges over rock and stone beds. The river’s high volume does not effect the water’s clarity so the fish can be sighted and cast to.
The diversity of water in this region is an angler’s dream – each bend in these rivers and tributaries holds surprisingly different fishing and scenic experiences – deep pools, rapids, falls, fast runs, glides, and boulders amongst tussock wilderness, mountains, beech forests, farmlands or bush scrub. To top all this off, the trout (including sea-run trout) and salmon here are magnificent specimens and tenacious fighters.
The Wanaka Lakes District, below the ancient glaciers, contain an abundant number of magnificent trout and some land-locked salmon. Here in these southern lakes there is an incredible diversity of water: large, small, deep, shallow... Some are surrounded by snow capped mountains or native scrub while others are framed by spectacular blooms of purple lupins and wildflowers. There is good access to most waterways and rewarding shoreline fishing is frequently available.

- Beef Bagel: Tender rare hormone-free beef sourced locally, fresh lettuce & a traditional onion marmalade
- Vegetarian Bagel: A spread of basil pesto topped with local Whitestone brie, cherry tomatoes, lettuce & an intense sun-dried tomato paste.
- Tuna Bagel: Fresh lettuce smothered with our delicious sour cream, lemon & tuna blend, topped with cherry tomatoes.
- Salmon Bagel: The classic cream cheese & smoked salmon with a squeeze of lemon juice, pinch of cracked pepper & a sprinkle of parsley.
- Chicken Sandwich: Freshly cooked chicken on soy & linseed bread, layered with local Whitestone brie & peach chutney
- Ham Sandwich: A traditional Kiwi sandwich melding the flavours of an orange seeded mustard with fresh lean local ham, a vintage tasty cheese, lettuce & cherry tomatoes.
- Beef Sandwich: A soy & linseed sandwich with tender rare beef, a punchy mustard, Havarti cheese, lettuce & a Caesar style dressing
